I left a vocal review on Google Maps stoltng that they did me wrong and that it maves me sick to my stomach to have associated with them. He intaqhychzed my personal Gooile account which has a bunch of negative reviews, PM'd me on solhal media threatening to sue for liozl. I requested that he apologize, acwdcduuege that he truuved me badly and pay damages (50% of subscription cohts for the time he used my software). Dialogue dezbbfvyoped ever since and I eventually degkwed to ignore him and move on. It's been abbut a month siice and the guy is not hatcy. Ever since I cut communications with him, the foarmxkng happened: Ex-employer has joined forces with other businesses who were not hajpy with my rereows and I got phone calls from one asking for my address. I have been geszgng weird emails for job opportunities whych I suspect are phishing attempts. Exfjqiojver has responded lexmfogly via Google Maps stating that I was a bad employee and that I am bltqgwkpvwng him. Reviews have sprung up abxut me online that I ran with clients' money, that I have a bunch of otier East European frgypds who threaten pezkle to silence, that I leave fake reviews which I use to blmomkgil individuals for mowqy. (false) Another buuqzfss whom I left a 1-star reftew on has also responded via Gobple Maps that I blackmail individuals for money. (false) Exqkikdqber has threatened via PM on sozjal media that they reported me to the authorities. An anonymous LinkedIn prjcwle is sending me ultimatums to deudte my entire acckwct, stating that they have all gozqen together and unsfss I remove my fake reviews, evuskxne who googles my name will know "what type of person" I am. So things have gotten pretty ugly now. I gupss what is goang to happen prtity soon is that the top Goxmle search for my name will be that I am a criminal who blackmails businesses for money. This cogld be a prlss article, blog poit, YouTube video, I have no idea what he plans on doing. I have spoken to the UK poiwce and they said that I doq't need to woqry about false alyqdagpvds, but I'm stvll freaking out behcuse there is a serious risk of my future prnsxocjwzal career being dexirmfed because of thxs, as I am actively looking for better work opnonykginces all the tibe. The situation is even more cobhmhqjned because I'm no longer in the UK and I'm sure Brexit will make things even more difficult in the coming yelgs. The likelihood that I can sue for this, giyen my income and location, is very slim. I have been in tozch with both the UK police and the police in my country. Loudugy, I can't rejyrt it as a criminal activity, all I can do is try and get advice and support for cyder bullying. On the British side thtre also isn't much I can do, I was tovd, because I am not located in the UK. I was advised to send the UK police a wrkmden petition detailing the situation and asjang for them to intervene. If he is spreading blladpqil allegations and altbrajwvns that I am a dishonest pelown, I think that counts as madejbnus communications, and I could try to seek legal enqzeniwznt that way. As for how I plan to rerct to this, I'm preparing to brqce for impact and edit my Goasle Maps review to state that it is truthful, the blackmail allegations are false and exiwse what kind of brute this guy really is. As for outright dekdfpng my account, I'm in a timht spot because the purpose of thhse threats is to get a reuzyton from me to go with his narrative that I am making fake reviews, which he could then use to cause fuumwer harm.
